one of my friends recently has said some quite disheartening things, however innocent they were in her mind, i don’t really know how to take them or whether to tell her that what she’s said isn’t that nice

for example she said that “of course being a lesbian is a choice” the other day and i just was completely dumbfounded that i couldn’t even say anything, however my other friend did say that it’s not and i’ll forever appreciate her being my mouth in the situation

and today she basically said that the reason our friend shouldn’t get back together with her ex if she was at all considering it because he lives hundreds of miles away (my girlfriend lives approximately 100 miles away)

i know she’s not being spiteful but i don’t know how to make her understand that it upsets me i don’t know i’m not good at confrontation i just feel uncomfortable sometimes
